AMERIKAN PARTY ANNOUNCES PUTIN FOR PRESIDENT FOR 2008

LOS ANGELES, CA (January 07, 2008) – The newly formed AMERIKAN PARTY announces their support of Vladimir Putin for President as their U.S. presidential candidate for Campaign 2008. The Amerikan Party was formed by average Americans in order to urge voters to focus on the major issues that need to be addressed by all presidential candidates.

Chairman of the Amerikan Party, Huck Finn said, “Vladimir Putin is the right man to run for the Presidency of the United States under the Amerikan Party ticket because he’s brought Russia back onto the global stage as a super power and doubled the average income of every Russian in the last five years. We’d want the same for Americans.”

“There are so many frickin’ candidates right now. The average American works so hard to pay his gasoline and electric bills, that they don’t have a spare four hours a day to analyze each candidate,” said Finn. The PutinforPresident.com blog helps by focusing on the political issues important to each American.

“I formed the Amerikan Party because Democrats and Republicans aren’t focusing on the real issues of major concern for the average American,” Finn said. “We see the U.S. headed toward becoming a third world country and should take a history lesson about the fall of the Roman Empire," he added.

Mr. Putin is scheduled to step down in March 2008 as the President of Russia. He has been offered the position of Prime Minister of Russia, and has accepted.

Finn said, “I hope we can convince Mr. Putin to consider running for the Presidency of the United States since I doubt he’s going to want to be second in command over there. Mr. Putin has done a phenomenal job for Russia. We need some major help in America too."

“We haven’t figured out how to address the major issue of Mr. Putin being Russian,” said Tom Sawyer, vice chairman of the Amerikan Party. He added, “Constitutionally, it’s against the law for a foreigner to run for the presidency here.”

Amerikan Party Chairman, Finn said, “I hope that democracy in America will take over and the people of this country, Americans who love America, will get out and put Mr. Putin on the ballot to show they want the next president to take care of American citizens before they take care of the rest of the world.”

“What Mr. Putin has done for Russia is nothing short of phenomenal,” said Sawyer. “We need a leader like this in the White House,” he added. Finn said, “Da, da, da. Putin for President.”
