PutinToon 75 - Rock'em, Sock'em - Part 4

Putintoon75_2

Huck Finn Comments: I've tried to draw new cartoons beyond Rock'em and Sock'em but Obama and Hillary won't let me. After the Pennsylvania primaries, this is becoming Democratic Chairman Howard Dean's worst nightmare.

Obama has made mistakes anyone can understand. Sometimes we say things we don't mean, or are misinterpreted. (I am still undecided folks about who I am going to vote for. I keep thinking Putin will come to America's rescue but no cigar Vodka at this point.)

Obama's elitist-sounding comment about small town folks clinging to their guns and religion was an honest political mistake. He was being honest and it was a mistake. Hillary misrepresenting herself by saying she was being shot down by some evil Serbs (what crap this is) was a dishonest political mistake.

I'm sure you've told your boyfriend/girlfriend, or spouse, things you didn't mean. The end result was a break up or sleeping on the couch. Been there, done that.

Politics is no different than the seduction process. You tell the other person what they want to hear and hope you said it with enough conviction for them to buy into it and go to the dance. Hmm...I don't mean the real dance.

Hillary and Obama have worked hard to seduce the American vote.  Voting hasn't been this fun since Bill Clinton made it cool to vote. McCain on the other hand is trying to appeal to anyone who'll listen. It's almost like they are running at two different elections and two different times. It's like the Warp Zone.

It looks like this fight will continue until the Democratic Convention in Denver. Both Obama and Hillary have made blunders that will continue at the convention.

We have to give credit to Reverend Wright for making the Rock'em, Sock'em fight between Obama and Hillary a fight again.

I have personally taken the time to view the Wright videos.  Even though  Reverend Wright has done great things, he does appear to have racist undertones in some of his messages. You might say he had a little "slip of the tongue."

Bill Clinton has been criticized by the African American community for his actions.  President Clinton hasn't said anything nearly as derogatory as Reverend Wright has in some of his sermons and President Clinton is being crucified by the Black community. The sad thing is that President Clinton has done more for black people than some of the black politicians.

I listen to people. I'm not decided. I don't favor Obama or Hillary or McCain. At this point, I don't see a good choice. (Maybe Putin will decide to run and I can evaluate his position on the top 10 issues I wrote about months before CNN also made Economy the #1 issue.)

The problem with this campaign is that race and gender are the key decision factors. Obama has allowed Hillary to stay in the race by saying racist remarks like the comment about his grandmother, and allowing Reverend Wright to come out of retirement and fight for his own legacy.

80% to 90% of blacks are voting for Obama.  They want to see  a black man in the White House. 50% of the women are voting for Hillary. Based on these facts this is a race issue for blacks, and certainly not for white women.

Obama's remarks have hurt him, because Hillary has came back in Pennsylvania. The soap opera continues and a good portion of it is thanks to Reverend Wright.

If I was Hillary, I would continue to expose Reverend Wright. Not that he needs any help since he's on the circuit now. If I was Obama, I would denounce, rebuke, and reject Reverend Wright. Yeah, the black voters may get pissed off but they'll vote for Obama afterwards anyway.

I have a message for Obama.

Dear Obama,

Dude, get a hold of yourself.  If you're going to win the white vote, my half-white brother,  you're gonna have to throw Wright under the bus. This may not seem Wright to you, but you've got to do the Wright thing for the white half of your lineage.

Sometime in life, you have to do the Wright thing even though it may be the wrong thing.  You had the ability to knock Hillary out of the ring, but you just can't seem to knock her out, Dude. One big reason is Wright.

Dude, get a hold of your white side. You're 50% black and 50% white. I think you forget to mention this to press and voters too.

Obama, stop boxing like sissy Mike Tyson and fight like the great Mohammed Ali.

Just do it. Get Wright with God and rebuke Reverend Wright and maybe you'll knock Hillary out of the ring.

Sincerely,

Huck Finn

What would Putin do? Would he denounce Reverend Wright if he was Obama? Would Putin allow other religions to practice their faith in America if he ran for President? Da, that is the question.

HUCK FINN Comments: You have to love America and the American spirit. If you've never lived here or been here, then let me explain to you what made America great. Sure, every country has social problems in different degrees. Yes, America got a black eye due to the current administration in our White House and their International policies. (I am not endorsing Democrats or Republicans yet.)

The great thing about living in America is it's possible for anyone can become somebody if they truly want it. Look at the Pennsylvania primary race between Obama and Hillary. This primary truly defines the American spirit of going against all odds and never giving up.

If you saw the first Rocky movie, Rocky loses in that first film. History didn't repeat itself. Obama outspent Hillary 'Rocky' Clinton by 3 to 1 in Pennsylvania (Obama spent $12 million dollars on advertising). Obama out-polled Clinton (most polls had Obama pretty close to her in the last few days), but Clinton refused to give an inch. Like a true boxing legend, she kept swinging even while Bruce Springsteen was singing Obama tunes.

America is about never giving up. America is about living the dream of freedom and independence. Hillary proved to have "true" American spirit by refusing to lay down her gloves. Whether you're a Hillary or Obama fan (I am undecided), you must appreciate Hillary's fighting spirit. Despite their differences, I'm sure Obama has a new respect for her.

Hillary is like a cockroach. Obama can't put her out, no matter how much money he throws against her. Despite the media favoring Obama, the "bitter" comment and Obama's pastor were a difference in Pennsylvania.

What would have happened if Hillary had not lied (I mean misspoke) about her experiences in Bosnia? Would Hillary have pounded Obama by more than 10%? It appears at this point that Obama does not hold a big knock-out punch. Hillary may not be the prettiest fighter in the world, but she's proven, just like Rocky, that she's a street fighter.

What does Putin think about Hillary's huge win against Obama? Now that Hillary has proven to be the next Rocky, would Putin dare to step into the ring with her? Obama found out the hard way that getting into a close slug-fest encounter with Hillary is dangerous. Once again, Hillary's win proves that money isn't everything when it comes to winning.

What a great fight. Just like the old fights between Ali and Frazier. This fight is going all the way to the Democratic Convention in Denver, America. I can't see Hillary throwing in the towel.

What would Putin do if he was Obama? Would Putin even care since he's been busy doing some extra curricular activities? Da, that is the question.

PutinToon 70: Top 5 Things for Hillary to Throw at Obama

Putintoon70_2

HUCK FINN COMMENTS: I learned something from Hillary after Super Tuesday II. When the crap hits the fan, and you must win, throw everything at the problem, including the kitchen sink. Why? Because you never know what is going to work.

In the case of Hillary, she had to win Texas and Ohio in order to stay in the game. Hillary won through a combination of fear tactics such as:
(a) the red phone commercial
(b) negative advertising

PutinToon 73 - Rock'em Sock'em Robots - Part 2

Putintoon73_4

HUCK FINN COMMENTS: Well, the last debate (so we think) is finally over, at least until the Democratic Convention. In the old days, not long ago, it was exciting to see Obama and Hillary duke it out. The magic is gone, Amerikans.

When you look at their faces over the last six months, you see two worn out, battered, warriors trying to throw in their last punches before the last bell rings. Hillary, refusing to throw in the white towel, continues to fight even after the bell continues to ring.

Mathematically, Obama has thrown more punches and should win the nomination. But don't tell that to Hilary Rocky Rodham Clinton Balboa. Don't you say that in the state of Pennsylvania, in the city of Brotherly Love and the home of Rocky Balboa.

Hillary, no matter what anyone says and no matter what stupid ass stuff she says (like the statement in Bosnia), refuses to pull off her gloves. Whether you like her or not, you've gotta love her fighting spirit. Obama may be winning the popular vote, but Hillary is what America is all about. (I am not endorsing any candidates yet. I am still undecided.)

Hillary, not bitter, refuses to stop fighting, no matter how light her punches have become. She had a chance at the nomination despite all odds, until she exaggerated (miss-spoke?) about Bosnia. I don't know what possessed her to think she was under sniper attack there. Maybe it's confusion caused by all the punches she received from Obama over the last few months.

If you look at the fight between Obama and Hillary as if it was a boxing match, Hillary lying on Bosnia was a major knock down. Barely getting up, she had the chance to counter punch when Obama made an elitist remark about Americans being bitter and clinging to their guns and religion.

Almost down and out, Hillary tried to counter by making Obama seem like an elitist. It has not worked. Like the great Mohammed Ali, Obama has  managed to dance his way out of the vulnerable situation by talking his way out smoothly. If you study the history of boxing, Mohammed Ali was not the greatest fighter of all time. He was the greatest self-promoter and talker. Nobody could out-talk Ali. Nobody. He was an entertainer first, boxer second.

Like Ali, Obama acts arrogant and cocky. But I don't believe he's elitist as much as arrogant and cocky. Hey, lots of folks didn't like Ali's cocky ways but they still cheered him on. Hillary needs another error by Obama to make a go of this fight all the way to the Democratic Convention.

I can't see Obama losing his composure at this point and saying something as stupid ass as Hillary did. This is Obama's fight to lose. After seeing his worn, tired and exhausted face during the debate, I doubt he wants to go at it a few more rounds with Hillary.

But we shouldn't give up until the fat lady sings. Obama's had the chance to put Hill out so many times that it makes me wonder if he's able to deliver the knock out punch or will Hillary self-destruct finally. For instance, in Texas, Obama advertised twice as much as Hill and still he couldn't knock her out. Obama is trying to advertise voters in Pennsylvania to death as well. It will be interesting if Obama finally knocks Hill out and puts her away.

The media (the media is another story) counted Hill out in Texas. But just like Sylvester Stallone in Rocky, she managed to fight through all the negative publicity and she won the Texas title.

Will Hillary achieve a Rocky-style win in Pennsylvania? Will this be her last fight?  What would Putin do if he was Hillary? Would he throw in the towel or would he ask Obama if he could be the Vice President? Somehow, I can't see Putin playing second fiddle to anyone.

Putin's Presidential term ends in May. Will Putin finally make his announcement to run for the President of United States of America?

Da, that is the question.

PutinToon 26 - How Our Money is Sucked Out of the U.S.

Putintoon26_4

***WARNING: this article contains no humor - it is extremely serious***

HUCK FINN COMMENTS: The above diagram of Bush's "economic program" says it all. No wonder we are in recession, possibly headed for depression unless our government wakes up and smells some Starbucks Coffee.

Follow the arrows for a simple explanation of how our money is being rapidly sucked out of the U.S. This is how the American economy works today, thanks to decisions made by the Bush administration, Congress and "specific lobbyist groups" which I won't bother to mention.

Remember when you vote this year that Congress consists of both Republicans and Democrats. Congress approved the War. They backed Bush to find the WMD. You can't blame Bush
