HUCK FINN COMMENTS: I figured out the secret of why Glenn Beck makes $10 Million a year from his television show: he continually says stupid stuff and feeds on the gullibility of his audience. I was shocked to find out how much this guy makes. He makes more than Putin or Bush. I'm actually impressed. Oh, yeah. At $10 Million per year, I'm sure he's got the pulse of the American public.
I watched Glenn Beck talk about Putin and Russia a couple of
nights ago. He was shockingly derogatory. Beck even had the audacity to call Putin an "evil S.O.B."
Glenn Beck acted like a total DIDIOT. (Didiot's another way of
calling someone IDIOT. I use it because it sounds more sophisticated
than IDIOT.)
I'm proud to be an American and I'm not here to defend the Russian. However, the stuff Glenn Beck was saying was kinda crazy and uneducated to say the least. I'm befuddled why he and many Americans are so Russiaphobic. I wonder if Mr. Beck's ever been to Russia.
Mr. Beck did manage to state some real facts about Russia:
1. Russia is second largest exporter of oil in the world, behind Saudi Arabia.
2. Russia has the largest gas reserves in the world.
3. Russia has the 8th largest oil reserves in the world.
4. Russia, according to him, is nothing but another form of a Communist Country.
5. Russia economy is booming. (Last year, Russia grew at 8.1%.)
Beck stated the above facts as if these were evil things that Russia did. He knows nothing about Russian culture, people, or history. He seems to have gotten his ideas from Hollywood films about the Cold War. He's promoting Cold War II. You gotta remember, when we pull out of Iraq, we'll need another excuse to feed the military machine.
Then Mr. Beck interviewed some other bozo promoting his new book about Putin and the coming Cold War II. I didn't catch the authors name but he was a Didiot.
Mr. Beck spoke with distaste and envy about Russia's recent economic growth.
When Russia was down in the dumps in the 1990's, I didn't see America trying to help them. But Russia has zero debt thanks to Putin. I wish our president could say the same.
Everyone says Russia's economy is humming due to the rising demand
and cost of oil and gas. That's only part of the story. Russia, the
largest country on the planet, has other natural resources. They might
be making a gazillion dollars in natural resources but they aren't
stopping there.
Mr. Beck seems to have no frickin' idea that Russia sends ships loads of D2 (Diesel) every day to American ports. If Russia stopped shipping D2 to America, like they have with China, we'd be in trouble.
What are Mr. Beck, Bush and other Americans obsessed with how Russia runs their country?
Why does our government pretend to care if Russia's a full democracy? If we were so concerned about countries becoming democratic, then we'd to roll up our sleeves and work on changing Saudi Arabia first. I bet Saudi Arabia would welcome us with open arms, just like Iraq has done.
Mr. Beck is spreading unfounded fear to Americans. He tells his viewers to hate and fear Russia because we have to continue to feed our military machine - and create drama to keep up his show's ratings.
It's ironic that Mr. Beck criticizes Putin and Russia when America does the following:
1. We kiss ass to Saudi Arabia. They don't like us. If you believe they like us, you're a DIDIOT. Saudi Arabia is building enormous, lavish cities thanks to the American taxpayer. So, when you're at the pump, remember where your dollars go. (Please see PutinToon 22: Where Your Dollars Go from Gas Pump and PutinToon 26: Bush's 7-Year Economic Legacy.)
2. We kiss ass to China.
China's a huge offender of human rights. They are a COMMUNIST country
and always will be. Their human rights violations are worse than Russia
ever thought about.
And get this: China, due to the trade imbalance and other Congress financial shenanigans, is now the largest lender of cash to America. China is also the largest spy of America in America.
We bow down to China because they own part of our national debt. We lose jobs to them by sending our factories there while our American workers go unemployed. We allow China to trade unfairly by protecting their markets, as they send us poisonous products. What am I missing?
3. We buy oil from Venezuela and Nigeria, both have
unfavorable regimes. Chavez called Bush a 'devil' at a U.N. meeting,
but we still buy oil from him. Nigeria is one of the most corrupt
places on the planet, and we still buy their oil.
4. We fight in Iraq for the sake of oil. If you don't believe it, you're a DIDIOT, too. Oh, I'm sorry, we also fight for humanitarian reasons. It's worked so well that Iraq president and Iran president just met, kissed each other on the cheek and agreed that America should go home.
5. We manipulate the media here too, and our media manipulates politics as well. Watch CNN, FOX NEWS and MSNBC. It's obvious whether they're left- or right-based. Saturday Night Live made fun of how the media is biased towards Obama. Political satire somehow manages to tell it like it is. I'm not promoting Hillary here (I am still undecided), but you have to be a DIDIOT not to notice how the debate moderators constantly interrupted Hillary, not Obama; or how they ignored and cut off Ron Paul from answering questions in the Republican debates.
Last I checked, our American media is supposed to be our"fourth estate," the neutral party to help balance out the three branches of our government.
I have bad news for Glenn Beck. The price of oil and gas will never go down to the levels of four or five years ago. Even with the recession here in America, (Yes, we are in recession), China, India, Middle East are growing to fill the gap on the demand side for oil. And the discovery and production of oil has peaked according to energy experts, so the price can only rise. Just last week, an analyst from Deutsche Bank predicted oil will go to $150.
I don't agree with everything Putin has done in Russia.
Nobody is perfect. But Putin is doing a great job of making Russia proud again. There's nothing wrong with loving your country. America is always trying to protect its interests, but hates it when others do the same.
Take the Middle East for example.
Give me a break. We're not in the Iraq for humanity's sake. If there was no oil, we wouldn't even know where the Iraq was. If we were there for pure humanitarian reasons, then we'd be in Darfur, getting rid of genocide.
Give me another break regarding America and NATO freeing Kosovo. Kosovo is critical to America because it's the gateway to an important part of Europe. Both World Wars started there. We're not there for humanitarian reasons only. Kosovars aren't the only ones who suffered genocide. All of them have been part of these atrocities. Serbs are no angels, but neither are Kosovars, Croats, Bosnian Serbs, Bosnian Croats, and Bosnian Muslims.
Agreeing to make Kosovo an independent country sets a precedent for anyone to break up.
What if Texas decided to break away from the U.S.? What if California decided it was time to leave because of all the national debt? What if the Indian reservations across America decided that they want to break away and be their own countries?
We criticize Russians for oppression.
Wasn't the U.S. founded on oppressing and exterminating the American Indians? Now, Mr. Beck may say this happened hundreds of years ago but we only recently stopped suppressing blacks in America. I'm proud to see Obama run for the White House (I am not promoting Obama here because I'm undecided) because until late 1960's, we still had 'colored' water fountains.
We don't need another Cold War.
It looks to me like America and its allies are the ones provoking Russia. It's not Russia spending $12 billion a month fighting in Iraq. Putin is adamant about not allowing any other country to dictate how Russia is run. Geez, I wish our President was adamant about not letting other countries influence our Congress. There are more than 35,000 political lobbyists in Washington D.C. Do you think they all represent the interests of America?
The West has accused Putin of suppressing journalists in Russia. I can't and won't defend Putin's actions, because I don't know all the facts. But America is no angel either. We have backed dictators like Musharaff of Pakistan. We play political games with Cuba, but turn the other way on China. We backed the Shah of Iran, who was nothing but a dictator. We do business with countries on the top ten list of dictators: China, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
America is the greatest country to live in on the planet because we've tried to follow our forefathers of the U.S. Constitution.
But when you look at the last seven years, planning wars based on deceptive and wrong information, wire tapping Americans without our approval, and putting America into such deep debt, is not what our forefathers had in mind.
Mr. Beck has the balls to criticize Russia but doesn't acknowledge the many things that are starting to make America a third world country.
Hey, I'm not the only one that has said this. Michael Bloomberg said the same thing.
Mr. Beck needs to understand that being friends with Russia is better than being friends with Saudi Arabia or China. Last I checked, Russians treat their women much better than Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Beck is using 1950s communist fear tactics to sell more advertising dollars on television. He's got to justify his $10 million a year salary.
But let's suppose Mr. Beck is right about Russia being another Communist version. (I don't think it is but let's suppose he's right.)
My question to Mr. Beck is as follows: So what, Didiot?
Russia's economy is booming and I can't see it slowing down. Their
inflation is rising, but so is their standard of living. Yes, the
Russians have to figure out how to keep inflation in check, but we've
got a bigger economic problem here in America.
Mr. Beck claims to be an independent. That's not believable. He's a Republican trying to wear independent clothes.
My recommendation to American voters, Congress and all the candidates is simple:
Vote for Russia. There's no need to pick a fight with them. There's no
need for a Cold War II. We have enough Hollywood films on Cold War I.
Russia, with its natural resources, keeps Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Nigeria, Iran and Iraq in check from an energy standpoint. If you don't like Russians because they used to be 'Commies", then remember, they GOT GAZ?
If you don't believe we need gas, then get in your gas-guzzling SUV, drive down to Houston's ports and you'll see quite a lovely sight: ships full of oil and gas coming from Russia.
Now, you may also get self-righteous about Putin picking his successor, Dmitry Medvedev.
Was this planned? Duh! Yes, of course. Do you think that the majority of Russians care that it was planned? They don't care. Seventy percent of Russians don't care because while Americans were living large in the 1990s, Russians were scrambling to buy toilet paper in the stores. Open your eyes, don't you think it's odd that Bush won in Florida (where his brother was the governor) by 500 votes over Al Gore?
Ugh, I''m not a Democrat (nor Republican), but I sure wish Al Gore had won. We would not be $9 trillion in debt, and I can guarantee you the price of gas wouldn't be so high. I bet we wouldn't have gone into Iraq either.
Today, Putin has an 80% presidential approval rate. George W. Bush has 30%. Mr. Beck, please do the math. Which citizens of which country are behind their president?
Mr. Beck, since you're so smart, tell me how America is going to get
out of this economic recession when we don't have natural resources
like Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Venezuela or Russia? And don't tell me the
solution is wind and solar, because that will take time. You said we
need to do more R&D on energy. But all this takes time. How are we
going to support our current SUV lifestyle? ANWAR isn't going to be
able to do it. Do the math.
Mr. Beck, if you want to continue to spread Russiaphobia to Americans, please remember that if Russia stops shipping D2 to us, you'll freeze your ass off.
I'm just a simple, American guy. I'm trying to keep my head above the water, because of all the cluster f*%ks of the last seven years by the current administration, which you've approved on television from time to time.
I love America and it burns me up when I see the condition America is in today. Mr. Beck, vote for Russia 'cause the future of your children may depend on it until Congress gets serious about becoming energy-free like Brazil.
What would Putin do if he saw Glenn Beck, after Beck called him an EVIL S.O.B.? Would Putin kick ass or would he forgive him for being an ignorant Didiot?
Da, that is the question.

Funny how Glenn Beck never talks about all those dogs he tortured and killed.
