HUCK FINN COMMENTS: If you're too busy focusing on how to save yourself from the recession, (see itstherecessionstupid.com for helpful tips on how to survive the recession) and you haven't noticed our president's current whereabouts, I, Huck Finn, former Britney Spears paparazzi, am here to inform you that President Bush is in Africa, working to improve his legacy.
Bush's Middle East trip was a fricking nightmare. He accomplished nothing (See PutinToon 22: Where Your Dollars Go from Gas Pump) so he set his sights on Africa. So far
his trip through Africa has been non-eventful.
Britney Spears has more news reporters on her partying with her dad than Bush does visiting Darfur.
Bush is probably in Africa for the sole purpose of getting clients for when he opens up his Bush Presidential Legacy Rehabilitation Center, on the American taxpayers dime, after he leaves the White House. (See PutinToon 41: Bush's Next Career). Africa has plenty of leaders and dictators that could take advantage of Bush's Presidential Rehab services. Think about it. If anyone will need to improve their legacy, it's dictators of the world who are brutal, obsessive compulsive, control freaks of their respective countries.
For Bush to succeed with his Presidential Legacy Rehab Center from day one, he needs a list of potential clients.
Obviously, Musharaff could be available very soon since his party lost in the Pakistan elections. Fidel Castro, stepping down as the Dictator of Cuba, would also be a good potential client. Clinton, after attacking Obama like a hound dog, might need to come in to repair his legacy, despite being one of the most successful presidents of all time.
Americans don't care about Africa.
I doubt more than 10 Americans out of 1,000 can locate Darfur on a map. Instead of visiting Africa to improve his legacy, Bush should stay in America and focus on continuously robbing middle class Americans to pay for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. These wars have made no difference in our lives, other than causing increased instability in the Middle Ease which has pushed up oil prices.
Robin Hood stole from the rich and gave to the poor. George W. Bush has the ability to take his legacy to a level unprecedented in history by becoming Robin Rich, the only president solely devoted to stealing from the poor to give to the rich.
I am not an economist but when a president tricks the nation into going to war to spend $12 Billion dollars a month fighting in a region of the world that most Americans do not care about, he's robbing from the poor to give to the rich.
Truth is stranger than fiction. Only in France can a person trade financial instruments without approval from his superiors at the bank, lose more than $7 billion dollars and end up with the French public admiring him as a modern day Rob Hood. His name is Jerome Kerviel and despite the entire fiasco, he is still officially employed by Societe Generale, due to strict French labor laws.
With these kinds of budget concoctions, unless our economy improves and revenues pour in, the U.S. will generate a cumulative federal deficit of $12 trillion in the next five years.
If we apply the same French logic used with the current bank trading fiasco at Societe Generale, and if Bush was a president in France, he would be a greater leader than Napoleon Bonaparte for his ability to put a nation under so much debt.
Think about it. What's $7 billion compared to $12 trillion? It's drop in a bucket.
I'm sorry I have to announce this to the French but, Mr. Kerviel is an amateur compared to Bush in blowing money. It's like a kindergarten kid playing against a professional French soccer player, Thierry Henry.
When Congress and a president spend money like there's no tomorrow, they put their own citizens in substantial debt. They're spending money on wars that don't matter, and the middle class has to pay for it. Because at the end of the day, we have to continue to feed the military machine. It is what it is.
Robbing from the poor to pay for the rich: Robin Rich.
That's what happened in the last seven years.
I think President Bush has it all mixed up. I'm not encouraging him to continue robbing the rich to give to the poor. I'm encouraging him and Congress to do simple sixth grade math. We, the United States of America can't pay for the entire world.... anymore.
America, the enabler for the entire world is... OVER.
But people will do desperate things to save their legacy. My next prediction is that Bush will visit Kosovo to claim it as part of his legacy succession.
What would Putin do? Would Putin spend money like there is no tomorrow? Would Putin pull the troops out of Iraq? What would Putin do about Kosovo as president of United States?
