Watching the
THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES SEEMED OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE AVERAGE AMERICAN.
Facebook took a poll during the debate and its members voted Economy
Ron Paul was the most aggressive and intelligent when speaking about the economy. (This is not a show of support for Ron Paul because I'm not decided yet.) His concern for the national debt and inflation puts him right on the money.
McCain and Giuliani did well on the illegal immigration issue, with solid plans to tighten up borders and deal humanely with the 12 million illegal aliens. It's very difficult to ship out 12 million people, and how do you justify ripping families apart? I like their ideas to integrate them into our culture and requiring them to learn and speak English. I think that moving forward, if you cross our borders illegally, we shoot your ass.
Fred Thompson was very well spoken and smart. His acting
skills came in handy. Mike Huckabee did very well on healthcare. I was
impressed with his focus on preventative medicine. Romney was the loser. It
seemed everyone ganged up on him, but he was impressively calm.
The Democratic candidates were definitely more in touch with
the average American. Edwards was the most passionate of
ALL of the candidates. He took a page out of Ross Perot's playbook in regards to lobbyists
in D.C. and changing the status quo. Obama was subdued at first but came on
strong later.
DA, DA, DA. CLINTON USED THAT SCARY WORD "RECESSION"
The former lady, showing her experience, gave a warning to
Now, I'm not promoting the Democrats, Hillary Clinton or Edwards. I'm still undecided. I guess I'm waiting for Putin to step onto the stage. There''s still room for improvement.
Da, da, da! Maybe Putin will decide to run after all.
While Obama has made "change" his mantra, and McCain made
fun of Romney for claiming to be "the change agent" after losing in the Iowa
As, I've stated in one of the recent blogs, Change to Putin and Perot
Perhaps, Hillary Clinton should learn something from her husband's
campaign.
In order to keep his people focused during the Bill Clinton
campaign, Clinton strategist, James
Carville, hung a sign in Bill Clinton's
- Change vs. more of the same.
- It's the economy, stupid.
- Don't forget health care.
Early in the Bush vs.
The phrase that struck
the chord with the American voter was not the "change" phrase but "It's the economy, stupid.
This simple, little sentence made
The
The recession is coming, as I've discussed in Vote
for Economy
If I was a candidate, I'd take a play out of the Bill Clinton
political playbook and modify his phrase It's
the Economy, Stupid to It's the
Recession, Stupid! TM
I ran the idea by some of the pigs in
IT'S THE RECESSION, STUPID! will be the key phrase for Campaign
2008.
What would Putin do? Would he use the recession phrase? Humor me.
Da, da, da... It's the Recession, Stupid. TM
