10. Vote for RUSSIA

THE COLD WAR IS OVER political election humor

Russia is not our enemy. Looking back at the Cold War, the buildup of military weapons was stupid on both sides. What were we fighting against? Democracy against Communism? One political ideal against another?

It was all B.S. Both global powers built up an arsenal of nuclear weapons capable of blowing up the world many times over. Both powers spent incredible amounts of money spying on each other, providing financial and military assistance to countries across the world that would support their political ideals. All that money wasted by both countries. However, the Cold War theme did make for some great movies.

There’s a saying, “Make love not war.” Da! I like it. Today, there are enough sophisticated cultures to realize that wars accomplish nothing. When the Berlin Wall came down, politicians took credit for it. From a historical perspective, Ronald Reagan did not bring Russia and Communism down to their knees. Gorbachev did not sell out either.

MTV, NICKELODEON, DISNEY, ESPN AND CNN BROUGHT DOWN COMMUNISM

The Russians were living in a country where they had to wait in lines for food and their standard of living was not up to par. When MTV and CNN started showing around the world, the Russian people saw how Americans lived. They began to wonder.Russianstackdolls_2

Russians wanted to have the fun that people in MTV videos were
having. Who doesn’t?

I see why both Americans and Russians would have been paranoid about each other. But the truth is, Russians  and Americans have a lot in common. Russians want to live well just like Americans. We all want to have fun. We all want to drive nice cars, wear clothes and drink fine wine.

WE SHOULD MAKE RUSSIA OUR BEST FRIEND

Since the Berlin Wall came down, the U.S. has had to play “global cop” alone and bear the high costs of political and military activities. It’s time other countries  helped with the costs of international politics.

Russia should be our best friend because they’re sitting on incredible amounts of natural resources that everyone wants. We don’t need to play power games with them.

What would the world be like if we had a relationship with the Russians like we do with British?

Russia is a super power again. Sure, there might be things about Russia that some Americans may not like.

Russia isn’t a true democracy, but so what? Democracy varies across the world. There is not one “Democratic Formula.”

Besides, if we’re so concerned about Democracy, then why do we let China walk all over us? Our trade business with them is booming (from their perspective). China is a Communist country last time I checked. And if you think Russians have had conducted human rights violations, then you really need to look at China.

RUSSIA IS BECOMING A BIGGER SUPER POWER THAN BEFORE

Putin is orchestrating the future of Russia to become one of the most dominant countries in this century. China and India are in submissive positions because they are huge consumers of natural resources, and their populations are exploding. You can’t run factories or service based businesses without energy.

Everything runs on energy and Russia has it.

Saudi Arabia and Venezuela
have oil, but under Putin, Russia has managed its windfall of profits from
rising oil and gas costs, much more effectively than both of those supplying
countries.

If Russia would be more green minded, it could use some of the profits from the oil business to build green markets and technologies in their country as well as ours. The U.S. and Russia should work together to accelerate the cycle of the entire world becoming green oriented.

Putin, at this point has accepted the second-in-command position of Prime Minister of Russia after his presidency expires. This shows his willingness to put his ego aside for the sake of

Russia, even if it ends up being for a few months. Unlike Chavez, who tried to change Venezuela’s constitution so he could remain president, Putin has played effectively within the Russian political system.

Putin has proved that he would do very well as a potential candidate for Presidency of America. The catch is, in order to run for Presidency; you have to be a U.S. citizen to run for this country. Maybe we can adopt him? I’d like to see the average salaries of all U.S. citizens doubled, as he did for Russia. Maybe I could afford to fill up my gas tank and not take out a second mortgage to pay my electric bill.

Maybe, we could do a “President Swap” between Bush and Putin for one month.

They could trade Presidency roles for thirty days just so that they fully understand that at the end of the day, we all belong to the same race and want the similar things.

Time Magazine voted Putin asPerson of the Year” for 2007. He deserved it, considering what he has done for his country. But calling him “dangerous” is completely asinine. Yes, his track record in regards to treatment of Russian journalists has not been stellar.

However, Russians are living better today than at anytime in their history. Sure, there’s room for improvement but I could say the same for America. Just go to the ghettos of any major U.S  city.

PUTINFORPRESIDENT.COM IS DESIGNED TO SHOCK YOU

I don’t care who you vote for. But, whoever you vote for, please focus on the key issues talked about here. You can add your own. I’m tired of politicians just telling us what they think we want to hear.

From what I’ve seen, Campaign 2008 is all about who puts out a better ad or who’s most popular on YouTube. Personal bashing is the norm.

Putin is the man. Hopefully, his accomplishments for the Russian economy will make us think what issues are the most important to America today. Fighting in Iraq is not going to make me better off personally. Increasing national debt and trade deficit is not going to put more money in my pocket. Feeding the world by continuously providing financial aid, while our own people starve doesn’t make me happy. Increasing the military budget to protect the

Middle East while the price of gallon of gas increases is making life very tough for many Americans. When you think about voting in 2008, focus on these ten issues.

What would Vladimir Putin Do? How would he address these issues? What issues would he focus on?

Da, Da, Da….those are the key questions. Putin for President.

P.S. Stay tuned for PresidentSwap reality television show. Our producers are currently discussing terms with President Bush and President Putin.
